YMCA's 2009 Summer CampsThe YMCA of Greater Cincinnati is the largest provider of summer camps for kids ages 3 to 18. More than 10,000 children every year spend their summer with the YMCA through day and overnight camps at more than 16 locations. YMCA Asset BuildersThe Asset Builders Alliance is a coalition of local youth serving agencies founded by the YMCA of Greater Cincinnati, the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Cincinnati, the Boy Scouts – Dan Beard Council, the Girl Scouts of Western Ohio, and funded by the United Way of Greater Cincinnati. The mission is to mobilize and engage the Greater Cincinnati community around current developmental asset research, and to promote a shift from reacting to children and youth with problems to engaging and developing youth in ways they can thrive. Profiles of the 2008 YMCA Black AchieversThis video features this year's 36 YMCA Black Achievers. Honorees received their awards at the Salute to YMCA Achievers Gala program and dinner held June 6, 2008. Begun in 1979, the Salute to YMCA Black Achievers Gala has grown into one of the largest local events honoring professionals of color for their career and civic accomplishments, and for their year long volunteer commitment to help prepare students for college and beyond.
